John Hardwick

John Hardwick is a film-maker, writer and director. His work with Volcano includes 1977, i-witness and Romeo & Juliet. John grew up on Merseyside, attended universities in Wales and America and now lives in London.
John has also worked with Moti Roti, Adrian Howells and Hebbel Am Ufer Theater. Time Out described his debut feature film 33X Around the Sun as "Mesmerising...a one-of-a-kind vision quest." He is currently working on two features. His short films have won awards including Best Director at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival and Best International Short at the Melbourne Film Festival. Television work includes Regulars, Nearly Famous and The Trial. His music videos for a range of artists include The Arctic Monkeys, Blur, Travis, Keane, New Order, The Manic Street Preachers and Dido, and he has won a host of awards for his distinctive commercials for clients such as the BBC, Sony, Umbro and UK Government.
