Nigel Charnock

Nigel Charnock, a founder member of DV8, founded his own company, Nigel Charnock + Company, in 1995. Renowned as a maverick and totally captivating performer with a string of acclaimed solo shows to his name (including the trilogy: Original Sin, Resurrection and Human Being), Nigel has also choreographed and directed group works for his own company. Nigel has also realised numerous international commissions including Tanz Theater Wien and the Portuguese Compahnia Instavel. He is also Artistic Director of Helsinki City Theatre Dance Company – creating two enthusiastically received productions over the past two years: The Big Because in 2000 and recently Intelligence of the Heart. His latest show is Frank. For Volcano, Nigel has directed and/or choreographed Medea: Sexwar, L.O.V.E., The Message, Manifesto, How to Live and Macbeth–Director's Cut.
