Nike Imoru

Currently Assistant Professor of Performance in the Department of Theatre and Film at the University of Idaho, Nike Imoru is widely acclaimed in the UK and internationally as a theatre scholar, actor, director and movement specialist. Directing credits include UI’s productions Romeo and Juliet and Cloud 9. Previously, Nike performed her one- woman show of Medea in Delphi, Greece, and formed a theatre company with fourteen young actors, touring the Pacific Northwest last spring with a production of The Possibilities by Howard Barker. She has worked in Africa, America, Europe with fringe companies and repertory theatres, including the Royal National Theatre, and has published widely in journals and books. She holds a PhD in Theatre from the University of Warwick. Nike appeared in Medea: Sexwar for Volcano.
