BOOK A VOLCANO WORKSHOP

The Right to Voice
Our voice is the most intimate expression of ourselves - both in speech and song. The Right to Voice is a workshop led by Frankie Armstrong and Fern Smith. It offers an opportunity to find and explore our voices and to discover the incredible variety of expression, colour and range that we are capable of. The work is grounded in the capacity to empower the individual. The right to voice is of fundamental and increasing importance in contemporary society. Our voices are profoundly linked to our identity and enable us to be heard both socially and politically. Increasingly, particular groups or sectors of society are marginalised through not being given the opportunity to voice their experiences, histories and personal stories. You can book this workshop for groups of up to 20 people. CLICK HERE for more information.

Workshops Alongside Shows
We usually offer a programme of workshops alongside touring shows. Typically, these offer training in Physical Theatre skills and techniques to amateur and professional performers and drama students. The content of workshops can relate explicitly to the show itself, particularly where workshops are booked by venues or promoters as an audience development tool. Post-show talks are also available.

One-day Physical Theatre Workshops
University and college drama departments or theatre/performance groups anywhere in the UK can book one-day workshops in Physical Theatre skills and techniques for up to twenty people. These will usually be led by one of Volcano's Artistic Directors.

Residencies
The company is available for longer residencies, working with students in drama or theatre studies or with other theatre companies. Available in the UK and overseas. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Specialist workshops
Volcano can provide workshops in a range of specialist areas such as Directing, Scriptwriting, Devising and Dramatherapy.
