HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM JOSE!
Jose Cifuentes is an educational psychologist who came to Swansea as a refugee from the brutal dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet in Chile in 1977. He arrived in Swansea with his wife and one-year-old daughter, after being imprisoned and tortured by the Pinochet regime for working with the homeless. Since studying social work at Swansea University and building a life and many friendships in Swansea, he has published a memoir called Revolutionary Dreams - from Chile to Wales, and works to support refugees and asylum seekers in his adopted home town.
