Volcano Workshops
Workshops
for Everyone
Over the past four years, Volcano has developed an interest in innovative
and inspiring ways of working with the voice. We have invited a range
of top practitioners in this field to lead workshops in Swansea and
the surrounding area. Workshop leaders have included Frankie Armstrong,
Guy Dartnell, Noah Pikes and Venice Manley. These workshops have been
an enormous success with everyone from professional actors wishing to
develop their range of expression to beginners who wanted to try something
new or improve their confidence. We
also offer workshops in movement, physical theatre etc.
Volcano
open access workshops take place usually (but not exclusively) in South
or Mid-Wales - Swansea, Aberystwyth, Cardiff and the surrounding areas.

Workshops for Professionals
We occasionally offer workshops specifically designed for professional
performers to develop their skills by working with outstanding practitioners.
In addition to this, we use workshops as a way of establishing a network
of creative professionals, sharing ideas and casting future projects.
Throughout 2006/7 we will be focusing on this strategy and running workshops
throughout Wales and the UK designed to find unusual and extraordinary
performers and artists with a view to forming an informal long-term
creative ensemble. See opposite for details.
