147 Questions about Love is an intimate, funny, thought-provoking dialogue between a man, a woman and an audience.
Are your emotions pure? Are your nerves adjustable? How do you stand in relation to the potato? Was your father a bastard outright, a medium bastard or a light bastard? Do you find all these questions fascinating, impertinent, or just plain impossible? 147 Questions about Love brings you up-close and personal with an unusual and tender duet, based on a novel made entirely of questions. It’s about our fascination with each other, our attempts to articulate, and the uncertainty of communication. Perhaps you have all of the answers, or perhaps we will only succeed in making you ask more questions…
147 Questions is devised and performed by Paul Davies and Catherine Bennett in response to the novel The Interrogative Mood by Padgett Powell.
Paul is Volcano’s Artistic Director, and is a performer, director and writer known for producing audacious and original theatre for over 30 years. Catherine is a dancer, choreographer and movement director who has worked with Siobhan Davies and Random Dance and choreographed a number of Volcano’s most memorable recent shows.
147 Questions about Love is available for touring - and ideally suited to small or alternative spaces in venues. For example may suit large corridors or cupboards!
