How has Swansea changed during the past 50 years? And what has happened to the people living here in the half century since Swansea became a city instead of Dylan Thomas’s ‘ugly, lovely town’? These are the questions that members of Swansea art collective, The Last Foundation, have been asking themselves while creating work for their latest exhibition.
The show, 50 Years A City, is a part of Swansea Fringe and goes on display at Volcano Theatre on Swansea’s High Street from September 30 to October 16.
Come and join us for the launch of the exhibition on Friday evening, 4 October, when we will also be performing sketches on the absurdity of modern life and drowning our sorrows at the bar!
The Last Foundation is a group of artists who graduated from the last free foundation course at Swansea Art College in 2017.
It showcases the talents of a diverse group of makers, sculptors, photographers, painters and performance artists.
