Meursault and RM Hubbert plus Sealionwoman.
Now a staple badge for quality original independent music from Scotland and beyond Song, by Toad, was founded in 2008 by Matthew Young. Meursault are an indie rock band from Edinburgh, formed in 2006. Led by singer-songwriter Neil Pennycook, the band's musical style has been categorised as folktronica, alternative rock and indie folk. The band themselves have described their latest work as "epic lo-fi". RM Hubbert is a guitarist and (sometimes) singer from Scotland. He writes music about love, death, friendship, mental illness and occasionally a dog called D Bone. It's not as depressing as the previous sentence suggests.
